Corcovado National Park Costa Rica 2-2013
Corcovado National Park (Spanish: Parque Nacional Corcovado) is a National Park on the Osa Peninsula in southwestern Costa Rica and is part of the Osa Conservation Area. It was established on 24 October 1975. The ecological variety is quite stunning. National Geographic has called it "the most biologically intense place on Earth in terms of biodiversity".
This galley is from one day where we flew into the park (via chartered aircraft) to Estación Sirena, from where we followed relatively short loop-trails to the rivers and the beach. It was a very HOT day and most of the creatures were taking it easy and trying to stay cool. Thanks to Melvin the Lapa Rios guide for a great day exploring!
And a very big thanks to my very dear friend Cynthia for some of the photos and being the perfect travel companion!
