Formed by the confluence of the Congaree and Wateree Rivers, a beautifully wild fresh-water swamp named for the Sparkleberry bushes. Gorgeous primeval looking scenery abounds, with a canopy of tupelo, ash, and majestic bald cypress providing habitat for numerous species of birds, reptiles.
