Bull Island, also known as “Bulls Island”, is an undeveloped barrier island within the Cape Romain National Wildlife Refuge. It was established in 1932 to help wildlife and to preserve their habitat. Numerous roads and trails provide opportunities for hiking and wildlife observation around the island.
Bulls Island, at 5000 acres, is the largest of four barrier islands found within the Cape Romain NWR.
